Streaming Guide: May on Max – Action, Dating, and a Nostalgic Comeback!

Spring is in full bloom, and Max is serving up a sizzling lineup of fresh releases — from pulse-pounding car chases to intense romantic experiments. If your to-watch list wasn’t long enough already, Max is here to make sure you stay indoors this May. Here’s a quick overview of the top titles!

Stranded on Honeymoon Island – Denmark (Premieres May 1)

Imagine Married at First Sight — but dial the craziness up to eleven. Stranded on Honeymoon Island – Denmark fast-tracks eight hopeful singles into couples in Denmark and then flies them to the Philippines, where they marry total strangers. Post-ceremony, they’re dropped on a remote beach — no backup plan, no apps, no way out. This is relationship bootcamp for beginners… or nightmare fuel for commitment-phobes.

With 10 episodes, there’s plenty of drama to dive into — and maybe even a real love story waiting to unfold?

Duster (Premieres May 16)

We’re headed back to the dusty American Southwest of the 1970s to meet a getaway driver with nerves of steel and a questionable moral compass. Duster blends heist action with old-school road trip vibes in a mix that’s anything but boring. Starring Josh Holloway (yes, Lost‘s Sawyer!) — and just his name alone has us marking our calendars.

Eight adrenaline-fueled episodes — perfect for a rainy day binge!

Pee-wee as Himself (Premieres May 24)

New to Pee-wee Herman? Then this HBO Original documentary is the perfect introduction. Paul Reubens offers a rare, honest, and heartfelt look at his life and his legendary alter ego. It’s a nostalgic love letter to a character who, despite the kitsch, had a huge cultural impact. Get ready to laugh, reflect — and maybe even tear up.

And Just Like That… Season 3 (Premieres May 30)

Carrie, Miranda, and Charlotte (along with new favorites Seema and LTW) return in the third season of Sex and the City’s grown-up reboot. With friendship, love, midlife crises, and the ever-unpredictable New York as a backdrop, the drama is as real as ever. If you remember your first Cosmopolitan, you know you’ll want to tune in.

Twelve episodes filled with glamorous highs and crushing lows — just like life itself.
